What did you use your phone for today? To talk to or text a friend? Check some emails from work? Or browse the internet? While it’s likely that you did all of the above, chances are you got online on your phone at some point. And you’re not alone. Currently, about 30% of wireless phone users browse the Internet from their phones. According to a recent study, about one-half of current mobile phone users will purchase a smartphone within the next two years. And this year over 85% of new mobile phones will be able to access the mobile web.
Blue Kaboom is announcing their solution for mobile friendly websites. Creating a specialized website that not only represents the identity of your company, but is also mobile friendly is imperative, as your mobile website will likely be the first thing potential customers see. Mobile websites are formatted for use on smartphones, and they contain basic information such as a summary of the company and contact and location information. They are designed to load quickly on smartphone browsers.
Blue Kaboom has created an integrated solution that will allow clients to use a business grade content management system to edit or add content to both their standard desktop and their mobile website simultaneously. So clients only need to enter their new content into the content management system once and it will update both versions of the website.
“Demand for mobile websites is on the rise,” said Troy Henson, President Blue Kaboom. “People not only want great websites for their company, they also want that sleek mobile version. If a customer searches for your company on their smartphone, they want basic information, fast. If your site is not formatted for mobile use, chances are you will lose that potential customer in a matter of seconds due to slow load times for entire desktop versions of websites that are not formatted to use on a mobile device. A lot of great business could be missing out on a lucrative segment of their market. We wanted to give our clients an option to easily be able to update both sites so their customers have a great website experience regardless of their website browsing device.”
