1. Create a 45x45 pixel icon and save it in PNG format. You do *NOT* need to make it have rounded corners and shiny - the Apple mobile device adds this automatically.
2. Put this in the root of your website (top level). Be sure to name the icon apple-touch-icon.png.
3. It’s not necessary if you place your icon in the Root folder, but if you have to move it to another folder or you feel more confortable placing it in a “image” folder, place this link code in your header of your index page. <link rel=“apple-touch-icon” href=“myfolder/myicon.png”/>

Make sure you use the “bookmark” button in your safari browser and click + then, “Add To Home Screen”
